This site belongs to Will Pei Yuan, a web developer in Tampa Bay, Florida. This page says, in plain words, what the site collects, why, and which services handle it. Questions or requests go to williampeiyuan@gmail.com.

What you tell the site

The chat. When you type into the chat on the homepage (or Willow on the experiments page), your messages are sent to an AI model to write the replies. The site itself does not save the conversation; it is gone when you leave the page.

A project brief. If you choose to send one, the brief holds what you gave the chat: a description of the project, a timeline, a budget range, your availability if you mentioned it, and your email address. It is emailed to me, and a copy is emailed to you. It is also saved in the system I use to track inquiries and projects, so I can follow up and keep the work organized. I use it to reply to you about the project, and for nothing else. I do not sell it or share it with anyone beyond the services listed below.

Booking a call. After a brief is sent, you can pick a time to talk. The booking form is run by Cal.com and filled in with your email and the brief’s summary; you can change either before booking. Cal.com keeps the booking, adds it to my calendar, and emails us both the details.

Email. If you email me directly, I have what you send, the same as any email.

What is measured automatically

Visits. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views in aggregate — which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from — and three steps: starting a chat, sending a brief, and booking a call. These are counts with nothing about you attached. It does not use cookies.

Google Ads. The site loads Google’s tag so that, when I run ads, I can tell whether an ad led to a project brief. The tag sets cookies, records page views and the sending of a brief or a booked call, and lets Google show my ads to people who have visited the site (remarketing). When a brief is sent, Google’s enhanced conversions may take the email address you entered, hash it on your device, and send the hash to Google to match the brief to an ad click.

Abuse protection. Requests to the chat and the brief form are rate-limited by IP address at the hosting firewall, to keep scripts from flooding them.

Services that process it

  • Vercel — hosts the site, runs the firewall, and provides the analytics and the AI Gateway the chat goes through.
  • OpenAI — the model that writes the chat’s replies, reached through Vercel’s AI Gateway.
  • Resend — sends the brief emails.
  • My project system — where briefs and bookings are saved. I run it myself on Vercel, with its database at Neon.
  • Cal.com — runs the booking form, keeps bookings, and sends their confirmation emails.
  • Google — the Google Ads tag described above, and my email and calendar (Gmail), where briefs and bookings arrive.
  • Spotify and Instagram — the experiments page embeds a Spotify player and shows my own Instagram posts. The Spotify player loads from Spotify and follows Spotify’s privacy policy.

How long it is kept

Chats are not stored by this site. Briefs and bookings are kept in my project system for two years after we were last in touch, then deleted. Emails stay in my inbox and calendar for as long as we are talking about a project or working together. I will delete any of it sooner when you ask.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and turn off ad personalization from Google at myadcenter.google.com. To see or delete anything you have sent me, email williampeiyuan@gmail.com and I will take care of it.

This site is not meant for children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect anything from them.

If any of this changes, this page will change with it, and the date at the top will say when.
